Hi! I’m Alina, an art teacher for children based in Atlantic Canada.
My lessons are built on a love for real art — not templates or copying cartoon characters. I teach children how to truly see the world and express it in their own way, while learning the fundamentals of visual language.
Why learning the basics matters
Many children struggle with drawing simply because no one has explained the foundations: perspective, proportions, light, and shadow. Once these basics are mastered, a child gains true creative freedom — the ability to draw anything they imagine and to develop their own artistic voice.
Developing an individual style
After learning the fundamentals, I help children explore their own artistic solutions, experiment with different techniques, and create work that reflects their unique personality and way of thinking.
Exhibitions and sharing art with the world
It’s especially important for children, starting from around age 10, to be able to share their work with a wider audience. I support and guide them in preparing for exhibitions, where their art receives genuine attention and recognition.

If you're using a laptop, just a slight tilt should be enough.
For tablet users, a special case may be necessary to keep the camera facing downwards.

For online lessons, a basic set of watercolors and paper is sufficient but I can help you with the list and Amazon links

Lessons take place via Google Meet — children can see me and my technique demonstrations, and share their own artwork on screen. Classes are fun, interactive, and inspire kids to be creative.

Typically, lessons for children aged 5–12 last 55 minutes. A double session of 1 hour 50 minutes is also available for more in-depth classes or workshops.
