When I was painting this piece, I wanted to capture a quiet, suspended moment — a space where the body rests but the mind and emotions are softly awake. For me, this painting is about being present with subtle feelings, noticing how light and shadow interact, and letting the atmosphere guide the mood.
Working on it felt meditative and grounding. I paid close attention to how each brushstroke affected the texture, the flow of color, and the way light seemed to touch the figure. Painting her face, the delicate details, and the soft glow around her was a very immersive, calm experience.
This work is part of an ongoing series where I explore introspection, emotional presence, and subtle tension. I hope that when someone sees it in their space, it brings a feeling of gentle warmth, stillness, and quiet reflection.”
