When I painted this piece, I wanted to capture a quiet, intimate moment — a space where light emerges softly and transforms the surroundings. The flowers at the bottom of the bath became the source of gentle illumination, casting a subtle glow across the darker, enclosed space.
Working on it was very meditative. I focused on how the light interacts with water, skin, and atmosphere, and on the feeling of stillness that comes from being fully present. Painting this scene allowed me to immerse myself in a calm, reflective state, noticing the delicate balance between darkness and light.
This work is part of an ongoing series where I explore introspection, emotional presence, and the quiet tension between calm and subtle energy. I hope this painting brings a sense of serenity, warmth, and gentle illumination to the space it inhabits.”
